Short Bio

Besides his academic positions, Boxuan Hu is a passionate explorer with an enthusiasm for emerging fields. During his high school years, he was deeply engaged in mathematics and physics, participating in math competitions, though he quickly realized he wasn't destined to be a prodigy in these fields. His attention span is remarkably short, maintaining high energy levels as his research interests bounced from network systems to machine learning systems and parallel & distributed systems. He enjoys working on multiple projects simultaneously, finding fulfillment in every moment of this constant engagement. He is such a stubborn person who will never overcome his obsession with Internet architecture. He is grateful to his many mentors and collaborators who have intellectually inspired him while patiently tolerating his careless nature and his preference for big-picture thinking over details.
